    Had a G23 .40, now I have an HK USP .40.

Not an avid gun fan, but love to go shoot occasionally. A few friends and I would go, but we'd love to find an outdoor range with in reasonable distance that you don't need to be a member of some club, to use.

Good luck finding an outdoor club that doesn't require membership, those typically do not exist. Someone has to pay for the land and cleanup....

I know, that's the problem. If we went more often, I could see it. But since it's usually on a Saturday or something when one of our Wives is away, etc, it's usually done on a whim.

And NO, I realize the simple solution is to USE the wives for target practice...

Nice ones. And it's better to see a bigger pic of the AR. The one on your phone didn't do it justice. Here is what some of mine look like.

    Coyote & antelope gun.jpg

The larger one is the Ruger M77 Mark II VT .243Win rifle that shoots the groups below with my reloads at 200 yards. Yes that's a Daisy 10M Air Rifle target but I use it for long range shooting since that little white circle provides the perfect aiming point to split with my crosshairs of the scope. The black one is my DPMS CAR-15/M4/whatever you prefer to call it. That has a Leupold Vari-X scope on it. That retarded laser sight has since been uninstalled off of the gun years ago. And you can barely see it but the small pistol was a Glock 27 .40 S&W subcompact that was lost long ago.

I used to have a G27 but it got lost in the woods of Florida about 10 years ago after a bad car accident. I liked it but plan to get something different when I eventually replace it.

We go to Bristol Gun Range in Wisconsin. It does cost $30 per adult per day but does have ranges out to 300 yards and plenty of lanes for various distances of shooting.
