Found out something about my car today :)

Coming home from work today on 290, I found out that my car is NOT faster than a C7 Vette. We were stuck in traffic for a while, but when the road finally opened up, he slowed down to 50 with me to get some space in front of us then we hit it and he had 7-8 cars on me in a 1/4 mile I pulled back up next to him and he yelled to me "Your car has nothin' on me", I replied, It has about $50,000 and 1000 lbs. He laughed, and we did about 5 more pulls with him getting me every time no surprise. I didn't feel bad at all about the way the car performed, and I think he was a little surprised that I didn't disappear from his rear-view mirror.

Was it a bone stock base C7? How much power are you putting down? But yeah, decade old technology and a back seat are bound to get beat.

Not to split hairs, save for a few updates to the overall design of the small block V8, adding such things as direct injection and piston cooling jets, he was running just as much old technology as Eric, and which is technicality is 6 decades old. Same old cam in block actuating pushrods and rocker arms...

    - Same valvetrain actuation
    - Same 4.4" bore centerlines which date back to 1955 when Chevy introduced it
    - Same structural design as Gen III/IV motors
    - AFM like GenIV motors
    - VVT like GenIV motors

I'm only 337 RWHP 344tq, I think he had about 120hp and a lot less weight. I just did it for fun. My car is still faster than 95% of the cars on the road I am not looking to be the fastest, just to enjoy it.
